Choose a field, and derive a topic:
Remember, unless you are passionate about the topic, the paper itself will lack passion. Therefore, choose a field of subjects and narrow those down to a concrete topic. Some of the questions you can answer while doing so are:

- Is the effect long term or short term?

State the purpose of the study:
Do not have a slew of objectives for your study. They will be of no use if they are unattainable. Keep your goals short term, and your objectives realistic. State the problem statement of your study, which will become either the thesis or the question.
Look up Literature:
Refer to books and sources listing studies that have been conducted in the same field or subject as yours. Sometimes, these may help inspire you to come up with better solutions for problems.
Draft an Outline:
The outline will serve as the skeleton for your study, with your data becoming flesh. Formulating an outline will help give your study a direction and prevent you from deviating in between.
You may gather sufficient and relevant data by conducting surveys, interviews, group discussions, and case studies and so on. Once you have accumulated enough matter, study, analyze and categorize it into segments according to the convenience of your study.
Write up a rough draft:
